Distinguished Veteran Award

The Monterey County Veterans Day Parade Committee is proud to present the Distinguished Veteran Award in recognition of a veteran who has honorably served our nation. This award highlights the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who have worn the uniform.

Submissions are due no later that October 10th, 2025.

Eligibility

• Nominee must be a current resident of Monterey County.

• Nominee must be a U.S. military veteran.

Nomination Requirements

Please include the following information with your nomination:

1. Nominee’s Full Name

2. Branch of Service

3. Years of Service

4. Awards, Medals, or Honors Received

5. Photograph – service photo preferred (civilian photo also accepted)

6. Biography – brief description of nominee’s life. This may include career, family, accomplishments, accolades, or community service (if applicable).
