Nominate a Grand Marshal

In honor of the 15th Anniversary of the Monterey County Veterans Day Parade, the Monterey County Veterans Day Parade Committee is proud to open public nominations for this year’s Grand Marshal.

This recognition is reserved for a local veteran whose honorable military service, character, and contributions reflect the values of service, sacrifice, and community. We invite the public to help us identify and celebrate an individual whose story deserves to be highlighted as part of this milestone year.

Nominations must be submitted no later than April 30, 2026.

Eligibility

To be considered, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a current resident of Monterey County

  • Must be a U.S. military veteran

  • Must not have previously served as a Monterey County Veterans Day Parade Grand Marshal

Nomination Requirements

Please include the following with your nomination submission:

  • Nominee’s full name

  • Branch of service

  • Years of service

  • Awards, medals, or honors received

  • Photograph (service photo preferred; civilian photo also accepted)

  • Biography – a brief summary of the nominee’s life and background. This may include career, family, accomplishments, recognitions, and community service, if applicable.
